Dear Partners and Applicants,
We know that COVID-19 has created an enormous need in our communities and placed a great amount of pressure on your organizations. This crisis has dramatically elevated the importance of the work you do every day to ensure that our food system is secure and healthy food is available to those in need.
We understand that it is unrealistic for many of you to apply within the original timeframe, by April 2nd. We are also sensitive to the fact that many of your organizations need this funding now more than ever. For this reason, we will offer some flexibility with two options:
- Immediate need?
Submit your application by 4/2 (original deadline) and we will announce funding by May 31st.
- Need more time?
Submit your application by 6/5 and we will announce funding by August 1st.
We hope that one of these options will work for everyone and provide some needed relief during this challenging time. We will ensure that enough funds are available to meet the needs of all successful applicants, regardless of which submission date you choose.
