APPLICATION TIMELINE:
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
GRANT TIMELINE: 1 Year Grant Period
Our Community Grants program is specifically designed to bolster initiatives that improve food access for our communities. Starting this year, only organizations nominated by a UNFI associate will be eligible for consideration. This internal process prioritizes funding for organizations that have an impact where our associates live, work, or are already volunteering/engaged. These grants support general operating costs and project-specific costs and are reviewed on a rolling basis.

By Invitation Only
The UNFI Foundation's Invite Only grant process is designed to strategically identify and support initiatives that align closely with our mission of promoting food system equity and sustainability. Through a careful selection process, we partner with organizations and projects that demonstrate a clear impact and innovative approach in advancing our shared goals. These grants, which are typically more than $25,000, are extended to a select group of collaborators who have shown exceptional dedication and effectiveness in driving positive change within their communities. The Foundation initiates all invitations.
