Increase the supply of organic food (discontinued)

Sustainable Food Center Inc.

Sustainable Food Center (SFC) transforms the food system to nourish our health, land, and livelihoods. Our deep relationships with regional producers and longtime programs that improve access to nutritious foods have enabled SFC to expand our scope statewide. We effect positive change through programs that support small and midsize farmers, increase nutritious food access, and advocate for policies that support regenerative agricultural practices and state funding for nutrition incentives.

LEAF Project Inc.

LEAF Project’s mission is to cultivate youth leaders from diverse backgrounds through meaningful work in the food system. The LEAF Project’s model and mission are now more important than ever. Our region is experiencing both a serious crisis in youth mental health resulting from disconnection over the last 2 years and serious problems in our food system from the pandemic resulting in profound disruption in the food supply chain and a deeper awareness of how close to food insecurity many are.

Indian Creek Nature Center

ICNC’s mission is to promote a sustainable future by nurturing individuals through environmental education, providing leadership in land protection and restoration and encouraging responsible interaction with nature. The purpose of Etzel Sugar Grove Farm is to establish sustainable, economically viable permaculture farming practices and create champions of nature through education and replication of these practices.

Friends of Zenger Farms

For 20 years, Zenger Farm has been teaching people where healthy food comes from, how it grows, and the importance of eating it every day. Zenger Farm utilizes a 24 acre combined organic farm and wetland to provide unique, hands-on learning opportunities for youth and adults. We are a working urban farm that models, promotes and educates about sustainable food systems, environmental stewardship, community development and access to good food for all. We seek to train a diverse and inclusive, next generation of farmers.

ECO-Justice Center Inc.

The Eco-Justice Center began in 2004 with a mission of environmental education and its vision is sowing community for a fertile future. Our 15-acre farm is open to the public and serves the Southeastern Wisconsin community as a model of environmental stewardship and sustainability. We protect and provide this unique setting which supports our leadership and educational programming focused on justice, healing, and right relationships among all Creation.

Earth Island Institute

CalCAN is a statewide coalition that advances state and federal policy to realize the powerful climate solutions offered by sustainable and organic agriculture. We seek a widespread transition to sustainable and organic agricultural systems that are increasingly resilient and environmentally sound, provide public health and climate benefits, protect our natural resources, sustain food security and economically vibrant agricultural communities, and maintain our finite agricultural lands.

Rodale Institute

Organic Farmers Association provides a strong and unified national voice for domestic certified organic producers. We achieve this by developing and advocating policies that benefit organic farmers; strengthening and supporting the capacity of organic farmers and organic farm organizations; supporting collaboration and leadership among state, regional and national organic farm organizations; and welcoming support and cooperation with like-minded individuals and organizations.

Rocky Mountain Seed Alliance Inc.

The Rocky Mountain Seed Alliance is a nonprofit organization working to assure an abundant and diverse supply of local seeds for the Rocky Mountain region through education, networking, and establishing community-based models of seed stewardship. People are waking up to the vital importance of seeds, and a seed saving movement is growing around the world to revive this ancient practice. Through our programs, we help communities collect, preserve, and share their own unique and adapted seeds.

Organic Growers School

Organic Growers School is the premier provider of practical and affordable organic education in the Southern Appalachians.  After 30 years, we continue to build a vibrant food and farming community by boosting the success of organic home growers and farmers.

National Young Farmers Coalition

The National Young Farmers Coalition is a grassroots network of beginning farmers, ranchers, and supporters working together for a brighter, more equitable future for U.S. agriculture. We envision a country where young people who are willing to work hard, get trained, and take a little risk can support themselves and their families in farming. The Coalition tackles the structural challenges preventing young people from succeeding in farming and ranching, such as access to land, credit, and skilled labor, climate challenges, health insurance, racial injustice, and student loan debt.
