Foodcorps Inc.

FoodCorps believes in a future where every child—regardless of race, place, or class—gets the nourishment they need to thrive. We partner with people dedicated to creating that future: from educators and school leaders, to national alliances and community-based organizations, to our AmeriCorps service members and students themselves. We collaborate with these peers to demonstrate the power of food in schools and ensure our country’s systems work together to nurture every child’s potential.

Rodale Institute

Organic Farmers Association provides a strong and unified national voice for domestic certified organic producers. We achieve this by developing and advocating policies that benefit organic farmers; strengthening and supporting the capacity of organic farmers and organic farm organizations; supporting collaboration and leadership among state, regional and national organic farm organizations; and welcoming support and cooperation with like-minded individuals and organizations.

National Young Farmers Coalition

The National Young Farmers Coalition is a grassroots network of beginning farmers, ranchers, and supporters working together for a brighter, more equitable future for U.S. agriculture. We envision a country where young people who are willing to work hard, get trained, and take a little risk can support themselves and their families in farming. The Coalition tackles the structural challenges preventing young people from succeeding in farming and ranching, such as access to land, credit, and skilled labor, climate challenges, health insurance, racial injustice, and student loan debt.

Chef Ann Foundation

Academic performance increases in children who eat a healthy lunch each day. This effect is 40% greater among children who participate in the free and reduced lunch program.* Our mission is to provide school communities with the tools, training, resources, and programming that enables them to create healthier food and redefine lunchroom environments.

CCOF Foundation

The CCOF Foundation advances organic agriculture for a healthy world by investing in the education of new organic farmers and producers, helping consumers understand the benefits of organic, assisting organic farmers in times of disaster, providing ongoing training for organic professionals and supporting farmers transitioning to certified organic practices.

University of California, Santa Cruz

The mission of the Center for Agroecology & Sustainable Food Systems (CASFS or the Center) is to research, develop, and advance sustainable food and agricultural systems that are environmentally sound, economically viable, socially responsible, nonexploitative, and that serve as a foundation for future generations. Our certified-organic 33-acre farm and 3-acre garden are used for undergraduate education, training in organic farming and gardening, and research on organic production methods.

Seed Savers Exchange Inc.

Seed Savers Exchange’s mission is to conserve and promote America’s culturally diverse but endangered garden and food crop heritage for current and future generations by collecting, growing, and sharing heirloom seeds and plants. Requests for seeds are flowing in via multiple channels, and we are working to keep our employees safe while meeting the sharply increased demand for seeds—symbols of security, hope, and resilience—in these uncertain times. Enhancing access to open-pollinated seeds directly impacts access to fresh, healthy food.

Organic Seed Alliance

Organic Seed Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that advances ethical seed solutions to meet food and farming needs in a changing world. Our work ensures an abundant and diverse supply of ecologically grown seed, tended in perpetuity by skilled and diverse communities of seed stewards.

Matter

MATTER is on a mission to move people forward by giving them a chance at a healthier life. Internationally, we give hospitals the tools they need to care for the sick and injured in dignified ways and create sustainable farms. Opportunity also reaches people through the MATTER Innovation Hub, a portable learning environment that can implemented anywhere in the world. In the U.S. we activate healthy eating for kids and families through the MATTERbox, a novel solution to food insecurity and nutrition education.

Green America

Launched in 2018, our Climate Victory Gardens (CVGs) campaign is improving access to healthy food by recruiting new and seasoned gardeners across the country to use regenerative gardening practices. Modelled after the successful Victory Gardens of WWI and WWII, our CVG campaign is recruiting individuals and communities to turn their backyards, nearby vacant lots, parkways, or open fields into spaces that produce healthy, organic food.
