Compass School

Compass is a multi-age learning community which fosters a passion for learning in all students so they can reach their full potential. We offer a project-based curriculum integrating academic disciplines, emphasizing social responsibility and environmental sustainability, in small classroom settings to prepare each graduate to be a responsible citizen in the global community. Providing opportunities for students to cultivate agricultural skills is an integral part of our mission.

The Food Trust

Founded in 1992, The Food Trust works with neighborhoods, institutions, retailers, farmers and policymakers across the country to ensure delicious, nutritious food for all. Backed by three decades of research and evaluation, our holistic, community-centered approach to nutrition security weaves together three core programming elements — access, affordability and education — as well as a focus on advocating for public policy solutions.

Second Chance Foods

Second Chance Foods elevates the health of people and the planet by recovering nutrient dense food from local sources, and providing it to organizations that address hunger, in order to break the cycle of wasted food and food insecurity.

Organic Growers School

Organic Growers School is the premier provider of practical and affordable organic education in the Southern Appalachians.  After 30 years, we continue to build a vibrant food and farming community by boosting the success of organic home growers and farmers.

Mountain Roots Food Project

Mountain Roots Food Project cultivates a resilient and equitable food system in Gunnison Valley, Colorado, by enhancing healthy connections between earth, food, and community. We foster knowledge, teach skills, and provide opportunities that ensure access to affordable, nutritious food that is regionally based and sustainably produced.

Matthew 25

Matthew 25's mission is to improve the health of people and neighborhoods by investing in quality affordable housing, healthy food, educational opportunities, and community building.

Mandela Partners

Mandela Partners uses food to empower communities of color and communities of limited means to build health, wealth, well-being, and economic opportunities in their own neighborhoods. Founded in West Oakland, CA in 2004, our work responds directly to the longstanding inequities our communities face – an extractive food system that withholds access to fresh foods, a racist legacy of redlining and economic disinvestment, and exclusion from long-term wealth-building opportunities.

CCOF Foundation

The CCOF Foundation advances organic agriculture for a healthy world by investing in the education of new organic farmers and producers, helping consumers understand the benefits of organic, assisting organic farmers in times of disaster, providing ongoing training for organic professionals and supporting farmers transitioning to certified organic practices.
