Freedmen Heirs Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit with a laser focus on expediting change in the U.S. agriculture sector. Bridging the gap between two worlds: Black farmers and the marketplace. Freedmen Heirs Foundation is dedicated to a mission and vision of eliminating inequities in agriculture to provide Black farmers access to technical assistance, capital, and new market opportunities. Freedmen Heirs Foundation develops innovative program initiatives that strive to increase diversity and equity in U.S.

Food Forward’s mission is to fight hunger and prevent food waste by rescuing fresh surplus produce, connecting this abundance with people experiencing food insecurity, and inspiring others to do the same. We envision a future where all people have access to fresh produce and food waste is drastically reduced, resulting in nourished communities and a healthy environment.

Ecosystems of Care works to build stronger and more just systems of food, information, and resources, to forge connections across neighbors, and generate community power.

Market Box, the core project of Ecosystems of Care, bulk-buys food from small farms and distributes it for free across the South Side of Chicago. In supporting our local food ecosystem and our communities, we seek to reimagine how neighbors can act with accountability towards each other and generate community power in the face of government neglect.

Dion’s Chicago Dream focuses on identifying and combating food insecurity throughout the Chicagoland area, using nutritional philanthropy as a catalyst to build community and transform lives.

CFAC works to grow robust, healthy statewide and regional food systems and a stronger community through the advancement of local, nutritious, culturally appropriate food accessibility for all Montanans, the support and training of beginning farmers and ranchers and farmland conservation efforts.

Since 1974, we have worked to build a brighter food future for all by balancing the needs of people and the planet. Our mission is to make our food system and agriculture biologically sound and socially equitable. Oregon Tilth shaped the first organic standards, created programs to support the adoption of organic climate smart practices, and directly works with thousands of farmers.

Rolling Grocer 19 is a full-line, non-profit grocery store with the mission to increase the health and collective well-being of Columbia County, NY residents by making wholesome, local, natural and organic fresh food and groceries available to them. We prioritize price fairness, environmental sustainability, and social and economic justice as part of our mission.
