Just Roots

The mission of Just Roots is to create equitable access to healthy, local food in Western Massachusetts and to work toward just, vibrant, and sustainable farm and food systems everywhere. Just Roots began in 2011 as a grassroots community farm in Greenfield, MA, with the goal of growing fresh, local food and making it accessible to families of all income levels. We work to increase food security for vulnerable families and deepen participation in and understanding of our local food system.

Farm Fresh Rhode Island

Our mission is to grow a local food system that values the environment, health, and quality of life of farmers and eaters in our region. Our objectives include preserving RI farmland and agricultural and culinary knowledge, building healthier communities, reducing on-farm food waste through food rescue activities, increasing food access for insecure populations, improving the impact of food production and distribution on our environment, and strengthening local farm and food producer businesses.

Daily Table

Daily Table’s mission is to provide fresh, tasty, convenient and nutritious food to communities most in need at prices everyone can afford. Through a network of nonprofit grocery stores offering affordable and healthy food, we empower people to eat well with the power of their own dollars. We believe that delicious and wholesome food should be available to all. By partnering with growers, manufacturers and other suppliers, we source high-quality food at low costs and make it available to everyone.

Second Chance Foods

Second Chance Foods elevates the health of people and the planet by recovering nutrient dense food from local sources, and providing it to organizations that address hunger, in order to break the cycle of wasted food and food insecurity.

Sacramento Loaves and Fishes

In the spirit of hospitality and radical love, Loaves & Fishes is an oasis for guests seeking respite and a space of belonging. We serve over 11,000 adults and children annually through our 16 programs addressing such needs as a fresh daily cooked meal, showers/laundry, mental health, a school for homeless children, advocacy and day shelter for unhoused individuals and families.

Pie Ranch

Pie Ranch’s mission is to cultivate a healthy and just food system from seed to table through food education, farmer pathways, and regional partnerships. We are on a mission to create a different pie that benefits everyone equally. Through our support for early-stage farmers, youth education, and food systems projects, we are developing a model of economically sustainable regenerative farms that honor the land, promote joy and healing, and will create abundance for future generations.

Mandela Partners

Mandela Partners uses food to empower communities of color and communities of limited means to build health, wealth, well-being, and economic opportunities in their own neighborhoods. Founded in West Oakland, CA in 2004, our work responds directly to the longstanding inequities our communities face – an extractive food system that withholds access to fresh foods, a racist legacy of redlining and economic disinvestment, and exclusion from long-term wealth-building opportunities.

CCOF Foundation

The CCOF Foundation advances organic agriculture for a healthy world by investing in the education of new organic farmers and producers, helping consumers understand the benefits of organic, assisting organic farmers in times of disaster, providing ongoing training for organic professionals and supporting farmers transitioning to certified organic practices.
