FoodRecovery.org

The mission of FoodRecovery.org is to recover surplus food that would be sent to landfills. While hunger continues to be one of the most urgent issues, the United States wastes 119 billion pounds of food. According to the USDA, over one third of food produced goes to waste, while 1 in 8 individuals are food insecure. The issue of hunger and wasted food seem counterintuitive, and FoodRecovery.org exists to connect these issues to fight food insecurity and protect our environment. All for free.
