Lovin' Spoonfuls is dedicated to facilitating the rescue and distribution of healthy, fresh food that would otherwise be discarded. Lovin' Spoonfuls works efficiently to deliver this food directly to the community organizations and resources where it can have the greatest impact. Lovin' Spoonfuls is committed to addressing the health, environmental, and economic impact that food waste has on our community.

Guidestone

Guidestone’s Farm to School Program provides fresh, local produce and education to Salida School District (SSD) and the Salida community. Recently, through a local food assessment community feedback process, Guidestone is seeing increased food insecurity in our valley due to economic pressures from COVID-19, the closure of the largest produce farm within an hour, and the closure of the only local grocery carrying significant amounts of locally produced foods.

Gleaning Network of Texas

GROW North Texas is a non-profit that works to connect North Texans to food, farms, and community in order to create a sustainable, secure regional food system that enriches the land, encourages economic opportunity through food and agriculture, and provides equitable access to healthy, nutritious food for all residents.

Gardeneers

Gardeneers cultivates customized school garden programs to ensure each space, and the students and communities who care for them, connect with healthy food and grow to their full potential. Gardeneers was founded in 2014 to provide more equitable access to healthy food and food education for Chicago youth living in food desert communities. We currently serve a network of 20 partner schools in low income, high crime rate communities of Chicago that are also food insecure, where residents do not have convenient or affordable access to fresh healthy foods.

FoodWhat Incorporated

“Food,What?!” (FW) is a youth empowerment and food justice organization. At FW, youth engage in relationships with land, food and each other in ways that are grounded in love and rooted in justice. We provide a safe space where youth cultivate their empowerment, liberation and wellbeing. We are uniquely positioned to support youth wellbeing by increasing access to fresh, healthy food while inviting youth to directly participate in their local food system through organic farming.

Farmshare Austin

At Farmshare Austin, our mission is to grow a healthy, just and equitable local food system by increasing community food access and cultivating new farmers. We envision a future of resilient local food economies that ensures equitable access to food and to the resources needed to farm. Farmshare Austin builds bridges between the produce grown on our 10-acre certified organic farm in Eastern Travis County and food access programs reaching food insecure communities in Central Texas.

Denver Urban Gardens

DUG's mission is to provide access, skills and resources for people to grow healthy food in community and regenerate urban greenspaces. Vision: A sustainable urban future where people are deeply and directly connected to the earth, each other and the food they eat. Established in 1985, DUG supports residents in creating sustainable, food-producing community gardens. With 193 gardens, including 74 at schools, 1 farm and 6 food forests, DUG is now the largest independent network of community gardens in the country.

York Fresh Food Farms

York Fresh Food Farms (Y3F) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created to reduce hunger in York County, PA. Y3F’s mission is to increase access to safe, healthy food, increase healthy food choices and build a healthier community by operating a sustainable, community-based, nonprofit urban farm. Y3F's programs serve: low income, underserved and food insecure families and individuals in the City of York, PA. Y3F is cultivating community health through agriculture, access and affordability.

Third Sector New England

FRESH New London builds momentum for food system change through local agriculture and youth empowerment. We use food to connect the community, encourage stewardship, inspire leadership, and incite change. Since 2004, FRESH has worked in New London, Connecticut, a distressed urban community with high rates of poverty and food insecurity.  FRESH has developed five community garden sites and gardens at each public school. We grow food with and for the community and teach organic gardening.

Backed by three decades of research and evaluation, our holistic, community-centered approach to nutrition security weaves together three core programming elements — access, affordability and education — as well as a focus on advocating for public policy solutions.
